The design is made of three main structures whose entrances are independent. Plaza, which is defined among the Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering Laboratory blocks and the eaves on its top are the focal points of the design. The program analyses have revealed the fact that the ratio of the laboratory areas which can be located independently from the ground level is smaller than that of the laboratory areas which have to be dependent on the ground level. Besides, the vibration problem (program analysis 3) in almost all the spaces which are to be on the ground floor creates an imbalance in the distribution of the program. This imbalance that arises in the program makes it rational to resolve the structure in only one floor.
The laboratories of the related departments are grouped, by interpreting the level and service relationships in the light of the physical data the blocks are seperated, set on different levels, without causing harm to the green area that is created in the middle service is provided for the blocks and the blocks are set in the area in a way to afford any future expansion.
The eaves describe the Plaza by covering the tops of the three masses, strenghtens the volumetric effect and by turning over the pedestrian alley include the alley to the Plaza. It is resolving the lack of common places in the program climatically, topographically and functionally
The emptiness between the masses lets the ever blowing wind from the east to the west flow and strengthens the feeling of the cool.
